The Chattanooga Traditional Jazz Festival was founded in 1990 by Mike and Astrid Griffin out of their love of traditional jazz and the desire to share and spread this truly original American art form — the music of New Orleans and Dixieland.

The 20th annual festival features these great traditional jazz bands:

Held at the charming, historic CHATTANOOGA CHOO CHOO HOTEL on APRIL 30, MAY 1 & 2, 2010 — the music starts Friday afternoon with an Impromptu Jazz Affair in the hotel lobby and swings ’til 9:00 p.m. Sunday night. All bands will appear at all sessions. Special features of this year’s jazz festival include a Tennessee Jazz Barbeque and the HOT JAZZ IN STONE AND STEEL program in collaboration with the acclaimed HUNTER MUSEUM.
